We received the nicest letter from the Lions Club! In all my years of doing this I have never received a better one. I have it posted for everyone to see.

12/21/09:
On Thursday we had our annual Christmas concert at Daystar Christian Center in Alabama City. Without a rehearsal and with some absent, we pulled it off. We crowned our 2009 Entertainment Queens while there. Miranda Fairel & Christa Clay are our new Queens! Congrats girls.
Later that same night, Cassidy King and Sarah Nichols performed at a sorority reunion and were a big hit!
Tonight some of our students performed at the Rainbow City Lions Club Christmas Dinner. We took our ever popular cloggers, our Where Are You Christmas dancers, singers who are also those dancers, and Alyssa Duke who performed a singing solo and an incredible tap routine to Hey Santa! This was one of the most fun performances to date! We were a big hit and we thank the Lions Club for having us for what is now 6 years in a row!
Happy December Birthdays to Jesslyn Hardy and Harmony Medlin. They will celebrate their birthdays the first group class back in January!
Our videos from our performances at Tennessee Shindig in Pigeon Forge are now on our youtube page (cut into pieces for timing) & pics from all our Christmas performances are on all of our sites. If you cannot access us through facebook or myspace, try our website at www.alabamaentertainers.com where you can click on the photo page and see lots of great shots!
We are currently on Christmas Break and will return for classes on January 4th. In the meantime we hope everyone has a safe and very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Please remember the reason for the season and be joyful for all of life’s small blessings! I love ya’ll!

12/13/09:
This Thursday we performed at the Quintard Mall. This was simply an incredible performance! It touched many people! I saw so many miracles happen! Elexa Crawford sang her first solo ever and did it with happiness and joy! I watched as Brooke Boozer performed her tap solo that she choreographed herself and it looked like something a professional had done! Carly Sawyer announced the Junior team numbers and did a fabulous job getting the crowds ready! She said “we sing together, we dance together, we worship together & now we are going to Praise Him with the dance”. The Where Are You Christmas number with Brianna Rudd singing and the dancers behind her was simply beautiful. Brittany Cumby did a great job choreographing! The clogging team was once again a highlight. My actors and their skit were ever so cute! I could just go on and on! Cassidy King summed it up before the final number by saying that “we stand here tonight as proof of the power that is in the blood of Jesus.” Singers, dancers, and actors, all outdid themselves! My heart was touched by that performance more than ever! As I announced to the audience, I may facilitate the group but each one of them is a leader. A lady who saw the show told us that we were a breath of fresh air. Not a typical dance studio or choir group but instead unique. She said we made her entire Christmas! Those are the type of compliments that we want to hear!
Friday was our Team Christmas Party at the Boozer house in Pell City. Jay Boozer came to Gadsden in a 15 passenger van to take those that couldn’t get there! How nice was that? Team sisters exchanged their gifts, we ate, we fellowshipped, we sang, we danced, we had a blast! Brett Benefield set up karaoke and played DJ! We took a hayride and Caroled through the neighborhoods! I have never seen so much food! I have never had so much fun! Everyone agreed that it was the best Christmas party ever! To quote Kelli Boozer, “just when you think it can’t get any better, it does!” The Boozers really outdid themselves and I will never be able to repay them. These are the memories that last a lifetime!
This coming Thursday, Dec 17th at 5:30 pm we have our Christmas concert at Daystar Christian Center in Alabama City. Please come and bring guests for our evening of Christmas music. The students are sure to touch your heart and leave you with the spirit of Christmas well within your soul. Admission is free!

12/06/09:
This weekend we performed twice! Once unexpectedly but loved every second! On Saturday at 1:45 we entertained at the Gazebo in Attalla for the Attalla Old Fashioned Christmas. We then traveled to the 256 Kids Café in Alabama City for Christmas on Wall Street. We performed there from 4 to 7 pm! Pictures from both evetns are on our facebook, myspace and company web site. www.alabamaentertainers.org
This Thursday we perform at Quintard Mall from 7 pm - 8:30, followed Firday by our Team Christmas Party in Pell City.
Make plans to attend our Christmas Concert: Mistletoe Magic at Daystar Church on Dec 17th at 5:30 pm. Please bring guests for a festive time.
Haley Livengood has been selected to be in the National Elementary Honor Society.  She was inducted on November 13th but missed the ceremony to perform at the Tennessee Shindig.  Very proud of her!! :)
I had an incredible experience Friday night. I was picked to interview the band Daughtry by “Nashville Sound”. I received a VIP pass with all the normal VIP treats that included sitting in on sound check, meet and greet, etc, as well as getting the wonderful opportunity to interview Chris Daughtry. It was quite an experience for me and one that I look forward to again with other groups. During the interview Chris asked if I had a request of a song that he could do that wasn’t his. I did! I stood front row at the stage for the triple bill concert where Chris actually did the old song I chose lol. Everyone in my party, as well as those around me who had been back stage with me, all looked at me as shocked as I was. Just for the record, Daughtry and his band mates are very humble and very nice. I wouldn’t have traded this experience for anything!
Good news!! We had a monthly performance at the Grind Coffee House so when it closed we were sad to lose a showcase place to perform. The new business is The Coffee Well and they have invited us to come and perform there monthly as well! The new owner, Tammy, is a Godly woman who is reaching out to the community in a spirit filled way. The saying remains true, when one door closes another one opens! We will use this venue to showcase our advanced students with 20 or 30 minute sets of music allowing the community to get to know these talented folks and bringing joy to audiences. We look forward to our first performance there on Jan 22nd.

Congratulations to Hannah Beth Black for winning 3rd Place in the Gadsden Middle School Oratorical Competition and going on to the City Wide Competition and winning 3rd Place there also. Also congratulations to her for winning 2nd Place in the "Miss Merry Christmas" Pageant for Gadsden Middle School last night held at Gadsden City High School.
Congratulations to Miranda Fairel for winning 2nd place in her talent show at Hokes Bluff Middle School!
Last weekend we performed in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg & what a weekend it was! We performed for the 9th time at Country Tonite Theatre and for the 1st time at the Tennessee Shindig! We truly took that area by storm! There is no way to describe the weekend or the performances other than to say WOW! During the weekend we had the most fun ever & on Sunday before returning home, some of our folks even got saved! You can’t top that! Needless to say we cannot wait to go back! Performing at these professional venues is much different than anything we do here and it really showed the kids how hard they have to work & what the rewards are!
A big congrats to Chasity Doster who won the Miss Gadsden State Pageant and now goes on to compete in the Miss Alabama Pageant in June! Way to go Chas! We are so very proud of you!
This weekend we performed at the Spirit of Anniston / Super Saturday Christmas! This is as awesome set up they have over there and we were so happy to be greeted with warmth and excitement. We performed our Christmas numbers for the first time & it is with much happiness that I report that we have been invited to perform at future Super Saturdays! The highlights of the performance were the Jr cloggers who were nothing less than amazing, Carly Sawyer with her baton twirling skills, & Sarah Nichols and Cassidy Kings harmony filled duet of “Warm & Fuzzy”!  I also want to give mention to the applause that Madison Smith received on her solo part in her group number! What a voice!
Pictures from our recent events are up on our website, facebook, and myspace. Go check them out.
This week we are on vacation for Thanksgiving. Spend it with family and friends and don’t forget to be thankful for all you have and all who are in your lives.
